Paul D’Adamo

Paul_Dadamo-1.pngWhile developing Recycling Growth as a resource for small business, Paul is currently teaching at Curry College as Associate Lecturer in the Communication Department.

Recycling Growth offers training, coaching, and consulting.

Paul's expertise in the Auto Recycling business includes leadership, sales, inventory, customer satisfaction, safety culture, finance, team building, process management, dismantling, and production.

We believe that you should strive to run your business on Auto Pilot. While this may sound like a utopian concept, the closer you get to the goal, the more you are able to run your business and not let the business run you.

Bottom Line: Paul is passionate about business. He looks for the obstacles that prevent our employees from being successful. Your customers should be your #1 priority, yet sometimes this philosophy gets lost. Your success is his bench mark. Making change a part of your culture is critical to the survival of your business.

Professional Background

Paul D’Adamo is the guy that never expected to be in the Auto Recycling Business. After a promising start in the Tech Industry at Wang Laboratories as an Instructor of WANG Office Products, he segued into the Recruiting World for a short stint, before returning to training at BusinessLand and becoming the Lead Instructor for Apple/Macintosh Office Products in the Boston Market. His expertise in Word Processing, Desktop Publishing, Database and Spreadsheets became the foundation for his journey into Auto Recycling and Small Business Ownership at Bill's Auto Parts in Cumberland,RI.

His insatiable appetite for integrity, ethics, community, a passion for organization, healthy communication and some good old fashioned fun allowed him to transform an “old school junkyard” into an award winning Auto Recycling Facility. His biggest accomplishment will always be the development of his team members. The hybrid model of business his team built included self-serve, full serve, scrap, exporting, while also serving the internet marketplace and developing a specialty eBay parts store.

In 2013, Paul and his wife, Lynn, sold Bill’s Auto Parts to Pick-n-Pull, the largest Self-Serve Auto Recycling Company in the United States. He was retained as the New England Regional Manager where he helped to establish PNP as a name brand in the Rhode Island/Massachusetts market. His experience at PNP included developing an Export Business, planning at all levels, building the sales and production team from the ground up for their new Johnston facility, as well as implementing a new Management Operating System.

Giving Back

Paul is a big proponent of “giving back” and is embodied by his service on various boards, fund raising for various charitable organizations, and his founding of the Dave Lemire Scholarship Foundation. Paul served proudly as the President of the Auto Recyclers Association of Rhode Island for many years, several committees for ARA, the United Recyclers Group Board of Managers, as well as a Mercury Commission to legislate the safe removal of Mercury from Automobiles in Rhode Island.

Paul holds a B.S.B.A in Management and Business Communication from Bryant University and an M.A in Organizational Communication and Public Speaking from Emerson College.
